2001 Chapter Holiday Party a Festive Occasion!

The year 2001's Christmas party for Chapter 174 members, their families and special guests got the holiday season off to a flying start.  Partygoers were treated to food, refreshments (assembled by Scott and Blair Hersha) and good conversation in the festive surroundings of the Sporty's Pilot Shop mezzanine. Click for a larger image. Lapel pins and Certificates of Appreciation were presented by Young Eagles Coordinator Bill Crawford to all participants in this year's extremely successful Young Eagles rallies.

Current year officers and chairs were presented with elegant brass and walnut plaques (initiated by Ken Werremeyer) in appreciation for their efforts for the Chapter throughout the year.

For door prizes, gifts of $10, $20, $30, $40, and a brand new Cirrus SR20, all generously provided by Ken Werremeyer, were raffled off to five very lucky winners.  A Sporty's gift certificate, donated by the current board and chairs, was presented to Bob Porter in appreciation for his dedication and outstanding job as 2001 president. The new officers and committee chairs for 2002 were then introduced.

(O,K, so we didn't really raffle off a Cirrus SR20, but if you weren't there, you still missed out on a great time!)
