The Chapter organizes a fly-out on the first Saturday following each chapter meeting.  Participants meet at the Terminal Building, beginning at about 9:30 am for a little "hangar flying", and we usually try to depart by 11:00 am.  Fly-out destinations are typically within a 100 mile radius of the airport, but occasionally extend beyond.  We usually stop for lunch and always find lots of good conversation mixed in with the fare.  Click here to see information about our next scheduled fly-out.  (Then use your browser's back button to return to this page.)

In the years 2000 and 2001, Chapter 174 sponsored a total of three very successful Young Eagles flight rallies, providing well over 250 young Cincinnati men and women their first experiences with flight, and perhaps setting the course for a career or two in the direction of flying and flight-related professions.  Each rally was assembled and conducted by a small army of dedicated Chapter 174 members, who volunteered their time and resources to register, coordinate, and fly some of Cincinnati's newest and youngest aviators.  Young Eagle flights are paid for entirely by the Chapter volunteers, without reimbursement for fuel or aircraft time.  We do not accept contributions for these flights.  For more on the Young Eagles program, and on Chapter 174's involvement in this outstanding activity, check out our Young Eagles page.
