Membership

Chapter membership is available to anyone with an interest in aviation.  Although many Chapter members either own or are building or restoring an airplane, these activities are not required for membership.  In fact, many members don't own an airplane or project, and some don't even have their pilot certificates - but they all share a common love of aviation.

Our Chapter PatchAll members are normally required to join the national EAA organization before joining any of its chapters.  Both national and Chapter Membership can be arranged at any Chapter meeting.  National membership is $40 per person per year.  Chapter dues are $20 per person per year.  A one-time-only Associate membership is now available allowing membership in the Chapter for up to one year without also having to join the national organization.

The rewards of Chapter membership include

bulletAccess to the vast technical knowledge of Chapter members, from career pilots and professional aircraft mechanics to seasoned private pilots
bulletMonthly educational programs pertaining to aspects of project building and certification, aircraft design, and just about anything that has to do with flying
bulletAccess to the Chapter library books and publications
bulletParticipation in monthly fly-outs
bulletInvolvement in Chapter-sponsored breakfast fly-ins
bulletInvolvement in our Young Eagles rallies
bulletA spectacular annual summer picnic and fly-in
bulletA warm and lively annual Christmas party

How to Join Our Chapter.  The easiest way to join our Chapter is to simply show up at one of our regularly scheduled meetings.  We normally meet on the third Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm, but twice during the year we have Saturday morning pancake breakfast meetings instead.  You're welcome to join us for the Sunday or Saturday meetings.  Check the Calendar page for exact dates and times.

Try to arrive a few minutes early and ask for and introduce yourself to one of the officers (treasurer, secretary, vp or president).  We'll get your name and other information and get you signed on as a member in no time.  We'll also provide an application for national EAA membership if you're not already a member.
